Challenges

The main challenge was to design a Duplex Basket Strainer that could operate effectively under the specified conditions while ensuring food safety compliance. The need for food-grade Teflon gaskets was critical to prevent 

contamination and maintain the purity of the product being filtered. Additionally, the strainer had to maintain efficiency under a relatively narrow temperature range of 55-70℃ and an operating pressure of 4-5 bar.

Solution Provided

1. Material Selection: We selected SS304 stainless steel for its excellent corrosion resistance and durability, ensuring the strainer could withstand the operating conditions while maintaining hygienic standards.

2. Precision Filtration: The 0.3mm mesh size was chosen to provide the necessary filtration efficiency, effectively removing impurities while allowing smooth flow through the 2-inch suction and delivery ports.

3. Food-Grade Gaskets: To comply with food safety requirements, we used food-grade Teflon gaskets for all sealing points. Teflon is known for its non-reactive nature and ability to maintain integrity under varying temperatures,

   making it ideal for this application.

4. Optimal Design: The 4-inch filter size was specifically designed to handle the required flow rate while maintaining the structural integrity of the strainer under the specified pressure and temperature conditions.

5. Testing and Validation: The strainer was rigorously tested to ensure it met the operating temperature range of 55-70℃ and pressure range of 4-5 bar. The food-grade Teflon gaskets were also tested for durability and

   compliance with food safety standards.

The Duplex Basket Strainer was successfully delivered to the UK customer, meeting all their specifications and expectations. The customer reported that the strainer performed excellently in their application, providing reliable
