how to replace an instapure if-20 water filter

If-
20 water filter using IR-
The cartridge installed inside the cartridge. The IR-
The 20 cartridges are no longer manufactured and are replaced by Pentek P-5 cartridge.
They have them in hardware stores and many department stores and will easily be transformed into IF-
20 filter cartridge.
They have a rated capacity to filter 30,000 gallons of water and should be replaced every 6 months.
Turn off the water supply of the filter cartridge.
This can be achieved by closing the valve at the top of the water filter or closing the main water supply of the house.
Connect the filter wrench to the tank and turn it counter-clockwise to unscrew it.
Grab the jar when it is screwed off from the top of the filter and separated.
When it is closed, the actual filter inside is closed with it.
Take out the old filter and throw it away.
Carefully remove O-
Ring from the thread of the tank.
Wipe clean with a rag to clean anything dirt, debris or hard
The water is piled up and put aside.
Rinse the tank in a different sink to remove any sediment or debris from the bottom of the tank.
After the completion, push O-
Ring back to the thread of the tank.
Place a new filter inside the tank.
Loosely covering threads and O-
Ring with Vaseline.
This will ensure easy assembly and watertight seal. Hand-
Screw the tank to the tip part of the filter.
Tighten firmly with a filter wrench.
Open the water and check if there is a leak in the tank.
