The water filter element is divided into two filtration methods, namely surface filtration and depth filtration. Different filtration methods use different filter materials and achieve different filtration effects. Surface filtration mainly uses screen material, and depth filtration uses felt material. The differences are as follows:
1. The screen material (nylon monofilament, metal monofilament) directly traps the impurities in the filter on the surface of the material.
The advantage is that the monofilament structure can be cleaned repeatedly and the consumption cost is low; the disadvantage is that the surface filtration mode is easy to cause the surface of the filter bag to be blocked. This type of product is suitable for coarse filtration with lower precision, and the filtration accuracy is 25-1200μm.
2. Felt materials (needle punched cloth, melt-blown non-woven fabric) are common deep-layer three-dimensional filter materials, which are characterized by loose fiber structure and high porosity, which increases the amount of impurity interception. This type of fiber material belongs to a compound retention mode , That is, larger particles of impurities are trapped on the fiber surface;
The fine particles are captured in the deep layer of the filter material, so the filter has a higher filtration efficiency. In addition, high-temperature surface heat treatment, that is, the application of instant sintering technology, can effectively prevent the fiber from being rushed by the high-speed fluid during filtration and losing;
The felt material is disposable (one-time use), with a filtration accuracy of 1-200μm.

The main material properties of hydraulic oil filter element filter felt are as follows:
Polyester-commonly used filter material fiber, good chemical resistance, working temperature less than 170-190℃;
Polypropylene-used for liquid filtration in the chemical industry, some have anti-acid and alkali functions, and the working temperature is less than 100-110℃;
Wool-good anti-solvent function, but not suitable for acid and alkali filtration;
Nylon-has good chemical resistance (except acid resistance), the working temperature is less than 170-190℃;
Fluoride-has the function of resistance to temperature and chemicals, and the working temperature is less than 250-270℃.
How can the microporous folded filter element be used?
Conventionally, there are two main ways to use the microporous folded water filter element, namely the filter element disinfection and sterilization method and the folding filter element in and out flow direction identification. Then how are these two methods performed? What impact does it have on daily work?
1. The filter element is disinfected and sterilized.
Make full use of the disinfection cabinet for disinfection and sterilization, take the filter element out of the plastic packaging bag, and place it in the disinfection cabinet for disinfection and sterilization at 121°C for 30 minutes;
For disinfection without disassembly, the filter element is installed in the filter in the correct way (the fixed plate is 0.5mm apart from the filter element), and steam is applied for 30 minutes.

2. The flow direction identification of the folding filter element.
Generally speaking, the pleated filter element is an external pressure type, and the water enters and exits from the outside of the filter element, and the forward and reverse flushing can be carried out in different directions.
The microporous pleated filter element takes the membrane as the core part of the membrane pleated filter element. After confirming the material of the filter membrane, it is made of polypropylene non-woven fabric (net), divided into diversion layer and support. After folding, insert the center tube and install it into the shell. Adhesive-free hot-melt welding process is adopted for all positions;
The fusion seal constitutes a complete integrated filter element without chemical contaminants, and the product adopts relatively high integrity inspection.
How can the microporous folded filter element be used?
Regarding the use of microporous pleated filter elements, the application in the filtration industry is very wide, and they are used in different industries. So, before using the microporous folding filter element, what should be paid attention to when installing the microporous folding filter element?
Precautions for installation of the microporous folded filter element:
1. Wet the O-ring with grease or water, and slowly insert the filter element upside down into the water filter, so that the filter element is aligned with the groove;
2. After the folded filter element is fully inserted, press the top fin of the filter element with a stainless steel orifice plate, and the screw does not need to be too tight to prevent deformation due to force;

3. Since the folded filter element itself has been sterilized by high temperature, do not touch the filter element by hand;
4. Rinse the filter element as much as possible for half an hour before use;
5. When starting up or shutting down, you need to turn the valve gently, don't open or close it all at once, so as not to damage the filter element when the pressure is high.
