Domestic visitors entered the booth, but they were enthusiastic towards other foreign visitors. This move is very intriguing, which can at least explain one point: foreign sintered activated carbon manufacturers are not optimistic about the Chinese market.

For a long time, this kind of activated carbon rods, which are processed by high-temperature sintering of activated carbon powder, has been sluggish in domestic production and sales. There are only a few manufacturers such as No. 1 core; in terms of sales, export sales far outnumber domestic sales.



What is the reason? In my opinion, there are mainly the following points:

1. Deformed demand in the domestic water purifier market;

This is the main reason. In the current water purification market, whether it is a reverse osmosis pure water machine or an ultrafiltration machine, the main competitiveness is product shape, multi-stage filtration (9, 10, 12...), and low prices. Everyone knows that sintered activated carbon is very effective in improving taste, extending the life of reverse osmosis membranes and ultrafiltration membranes, and improving the quality of effluent water. However, in today's fierce price competition, it is necessary to consider whether or not it is necessary to consider the cost.

2. The expectations are too high;

Everyone wants to use an ideal filter material: it can be applied to any water quality (soft water, hard water, tap water, well water), has a long service life, and it is best to sterilize and inhibit bacteria. However, various filter materials have their own functional ranges. Activated carbon as a porous adsorbent is not omnipotent, and its adsorption range is also limited. It can cause most organic matter, residual chlorine, and humus pollution. The taste problem has a good ability to improve, but it is not obvious to improve the astringency caused by excessive water hardness and alkalinity. Therefore, in a complete water purification system, it should be used with the corresponding special filter element to better improve the water quality and taste. For example, in a place with hard water, ion exchange resin must be used if the water is sweet.

3. Improper use:

As the front of the activated carbon filter element, it is necessary to use a real initial filter of about 1 micron to filter out all large particles as much as possible.

According to relevant domestic and foreign data, if the pre-treatment is not in place, the suspended solids in the raw water will directly adhere to the surface or inner pores of the activated carbon, causing the adsorption capacity of the activated carbon to drop rapidly (many water purifiers have a bad taste after a few days. For this reason), what is more serious is that most of these attached sludge are microorganisms. When the temperature and pH value are suitable, they will breed wildly in a humid environment, and the activated carbon bacteria will seriously exceed the standard, and other negative situations will also occur.

Sintered activated carbon relies on the tortuous pores inside the carbon body to extend the passage time of water flow, fully contact with the activated carbon, and achieve greater adsorption effect. These tortuous pores are most afraid of clogging by solid suspended solids. Once clogged, the pressure drop of the filter element will increase. , The adsorption effect will be reduced.

Each material has its biggest advantages and disadvantages that need to be prevented. For example, hollow ultrafiltration membranes need to be backwashed frequently. If they are not washed in time and are contaminated by bacteria, the ultrafiltration membrane will intercept impurities when the temperature is high in summer. It is decomposed by microorganisms and bacteria to produce a rotten odor. These odors cannot be intercepted by the ultrafiltration membrane, and are finally absorbed by the post-activated carbon. Have serious consequences.

1. Sintered activated carbon is a high-precision filter element with super adsorption power and a large number of micropores, second only to ultrafiltration membrane filter elements. The pore size will gradually become smaller as the impurities are intercepted and adsorbed, and the pressure drop of the filter element will increase, and the flow rate Become smaller.

2. The filtering effect is directly proportional to the contact time between the filtered material and the activated carbon. Therefore, the wall thickness of the sintered activated carbon filter element determines the filtering effect.

3. The pore size of the sintered activated carbon filter element should not be too large, otherwise it will affect the adsorption and filtration effect of the activated carbon on the pollutants. The smaller the pore size, the better the adsorption effect.

4. All activated carbon should be used to avoid a large number of large particles (SS solid suspended solids) from adhering to its surface, causing the growth of anaerobic organisms, seriously reducing the adsorption effect of activated carbon, and breeding a large number of bacteria and microorganisms. Therefore, the accuracy of the pre-pp cotton filter element of the sintered activated carbon filter element must reach the standard of about 1 micron, or the accuracy of the non-woven fabric wrapped with the sintered activated carbon must reach about 1 micron;

5. When the sintered activated carbon is used after the hollow ultrafiltration wet membrane, pay attention to the first use, be sure to rinse the ultrafiltration membrane protection solution thoroughly before connecting the sintered activated carbon filter element, otherwise the strong adsorption of sintered activated carbon will remove the alcohol in the protection solution 、Silicone oil adsorbs instantly, which makes the filter element ineffective and even breeds mold. (Other activated carbon filter elements should also be noted).

6. Granular activated carbon, alkaline ball, medical stone ball, negative potential ball, etc. (hereinafter referred to as 'granular filter element') are prone to produce powdery substances. If these filter elements are placed in front of the sintered activated carbon, the generated dust will easily block the sintered activated carbon filter. . Therefore, the particulate matter filter element must be rinsed before use, and the sintered activated carbon filter element can be connected to the sintered activated carbon filter element after no black water or floating flows out.

7. If the particulate filter element and the sintered activated carbon filter element are separated by ultrafiltration, ensure that the ultrafiltration membrane filter element is not damaged, and the ultrafiltration membrane should be backwashed frequently to avoid high temperature, otherwise the impurities intercepted by the ultrafiltration membrane will be crazily decomposed by microorganisms and bacteria The rotten smell produced will be absorbed by the sintered activated carbon immediately, which will cause the odor of the effluent (can be solved by washing with a large amount of water).

8. The adsorption effect of sintered activated carbon filter element is super strong. Putting it behind the alkaline function filter element will weaken the alkalinity.
